Thanks, Joggie - I suppose with three opinions reluctant to accept the hotel, I should pay heed. I'm agreeing that this is a beautiful setting for an ugly building! I will leave it at that and go on to other photographs in this park, at a later date. Eb

The colour and detail of the lilies and water is excelent Eb while the absence of noise at 400 ISO is great (320 max with the D70!). I agree with Gabriela - this hotel is not really pretty and do not complement the foreground. Paul's suggestion might be the best way around it. Very well taken though. Joggie

Dear Eb, the hotel is not exactly the happiest form of architecture, but that is not your fault. The sky is great and the pond is superb. You might try another creation, cropping at the level of that silvery roof at the hotel and then turning what is left into a panoramic. I'm sure the pond is going to look great! Thanks a lot for all your visits and very kind comments! Best regards, Gabriela

the big, square hotel really harshes the mellow mood of the large pond. I think it would make a more peaceful shot if you cropped just below the fountains, leaving the hotels reflection as a secondary object to the pond.

This is a great image. It is the expanse of water you capture that I like. The reflections and colours wonderful.
