An intriguing natural abstract, Dave. Sharp focus would make this just another calendar shot for me. This one is interesting... and creative. Tim

Just noticed you have one of those big guns - the 500 f4! Looks like you're enjoying that lens.
I'll have to go against what the others say here. I think this is indeed abstract nature. I love what you have done to this image, the blur is just artistic IMHO.
Photographers are also like artists, "we can design" an image rather than just "record" or capture them.
Trying to capture them sharp and having them turn out soft is one thing, but trying to make them blurred on purpose is another and it is good if we get the effect we want. I'm sure you'd get this guy sharp if you really wanted to. As I can see from your other images.
Our tools just let us do what we want to do to the image we see in front of us.
Take care Dave!

Dave: There is, in fact, a project for Blur images. I'm afraid, though, (IMO) that this just doesn't do it for either abstract OR blur . . . with the 1/15 shutter speed, I wonder why there is a blur at all . . . other than camera shake. That wouldn't be too hard with the 500mm . . . but having seen your portfolio I feel strongly that you can do much better than this one. Please don't be offended . . . but this is a personal opinion (which has a long history of being wrong on ocassion) and I wanted you to know what some others might be thinking. Best of wishes . . .
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~
