Okay, so my hometown was the same as an artist by the name of Archibald Willard. He painted a famous painting called the "Spirit of '76" so every year for the parade, the reenacters act out the painting. Here they are in all their glory.
Thanks Marlyce, I dropped the saturation intentionally as it seemed un-timely (historically) to have full blown, vivid color...also, they didn't look great in full b&w, so I compromised. Unfortunately, I think the softness is a result of my resizing for UF...apparently I didn't sharpen enough to resolve it.
Very nicely done. Since I am patriotic, but not political I really like this one. The pictures are a little soft on the focus and light on the saturation, but I don't care....the emotion is enough for me!
