This shot is even better as it cranes it's neck to let its beak make contact with the flower. An excellent capture my dear friend. The same lovely colours and great details with a perfect dof. All the best John-Eric.....Ray

Well done! A faster shutter speed may have frozen the wings more but that's really adding exposure headaches too . . . this is a great capture!

Very fortunate timing John. Nicely detailed and well exposed. Many people don't realize how difficult it is to capture photographs of these amazingly fast creatures. I can attest to the skill that you've displayed here in grabbing this image. Very nicely done. This appears to be an immature male Ruby-Throated Hummingbird John, (was it taken east of the Mississippi R.?) -john
