About This shot is dedicated to my friend Toshi, He gave a tutorial on how to take a water Drop shot. I know mine doesn't compare with his but I was really pleased with the results.

Let me know what you think.
Best Regards

I see it didn't take you no time at all to post your own water droplet after Toshi gave you the instructions on how to do it.

I went to Toshi's image of the water droplet and it was amazing. Saved the tutorial on how he did it and will give it my best shot. Your image is great too, but I agree with him about the faucet since he brought it up. I think I would have just focused my eyes on the water droplet and nothing else.

Since you mentioned Kim is posting now, I am going to browse her portfolio.

I have never tried this form of photography but long ago promised myself a crack at it....I like this very much Sam and if this is your first attempt then you have done well.. I enjoyed reading the comments and observations of Toshi who has obviously taken these trips before. Well done to you Sam, a great shot.. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Hi Sam,

Glad to see you gave this a try, and with a good result! Curious to know how many shots you fired off before getting one you were happy with LOL. I love how each drop produces different reactions and the smooth texture the water surface gives off.

As a suggestion, maybe try stopping down a bit to gain a little more range in depth. This should help in keeping more of the water and drop in focus and give it more smoothness. Also, I noticed that you positioned the faucet right behind the cup/glass just like I had when I was first attempting it (was too busy concentrating on the drop and didn't look at the background haha). It's only a small nitpick, but angling it from the side can give you a cleaner background to give the drop more impact.

Thanks for the dedication Sam, maybe I'll go and experiment with this some more :)
