Indeed, I see! What an interesting thing! I think, my friend, that nature has much more influence even in our gusto than we think it does. And so the question arises, what if all "freedom of choise", be it even for liking or disliking a photo, is in fact determined by the way we evolved through natural laws?
Interesting! Very very interesting!
Oh, and by the way, *no* overtime! It is just the delight of exchanging minds and opinions. And *this* is enough reason for sitting, looking, writing, thinking.
Ciao,
Nick

Nick, if you have a quick glance at the first page in my place you will soon note the all the pictures with more comments and visitors are fully made of yellowish green. Thanks for the overtime you made for me. Now have a good and pleasant rest in the weekend.

Indeed, you caught me here, Giuseppe! ;-)
Now seriously, it seems that I really am biased towards such captures of nature. I have read once that the green in nature is the most relaxing color for our human eyes. Could it be that we like such scenes simply because we evolved in this nature? It could be.
From the physical point of view, our eyes have the greatest sensitiveness at the domain of the visible spectre that corresponds to green, yellowish-green. (These are the colors that we can detect last, when we do not detect any other colors any more because of low light conditions.)
Perhaps people that admire nature have often this preference in common? Interesting!
Cheers and have a nice weekend soon.
Nick

Nick, in fact as you choose four pictures ALL with a green composition at full screen I must suppose that YOU like green background! But I too. Thanks.

Hi again, Giuseppe!
I went back to your second last grour of four and this one simply amazes me! So little is necessary to achive a great photo. BTW, may I assume that you love that fresh green background as the natural canvas in front of which you compose your beautiful natural scenes?
Anyway, again a typical wonderful, peaceful and dreamy image from Giuseppe. Great shot!

Ciao, Ale

Oh how beautiful, it must seem like the edge of the world to the dragonfly. Beautiful light and textures in the lily pad and such a delicate (once again) composition with the tiny dragonfly on this enormous leaf..you do beautiful work Giuseppe!! Ciao!!

Startling composition with masterful positioning of the insect subject. The eye seems to roam the expanse of the lily pad, almost leaving the frame until the surprise of the insect. I believe that the black framing at the lower right, helps to keep the eye in the frame and balance the large expanse of the lily pad. Excellent and novel composition, Giuseppe! Eb

The "work" to see the image before you snapped it...the "work" to actually take the picture...is all I meant Giuseppe. It is a wonderfully surprising image, especially with the dragonfly so trying to hide from the camera! Regards--Bill Voizin

Hi Bill. Thanks, I am glad that you like the picture. What do you means with "accomplish" the simlicity? The image is untouched. I did the normal work: adjustments to contrast, saturation, sharpening; in the right angle I increased the darkness and finally I cloned the ugly little dots. Is that what you mean? Thanks again. Ciao Bill.

The beauty is in the simplicity of the image. However, I know you had to work to accomplish this look of simplicity. Well done sir! Regards--Bill Voizin

Mireille I often have to cancel and re-upload a picture because the image "I see" on UF is darker und less satured in comparison to my screen (I use Spyder2). Who knows how people see our picture in their screen! Thanks for the nice comment.

Buona domenica.

I really like this Giuseppe, the tiny dragonfly on the edge of the huge leaf, it looks like it's on the edge of it's world there and a little afraid of what it might find. A super image, Chris.
