Well, I imagine they are talking about either something electronic (jpeg, bmp, psd, &c) or something old-school (an actual physical slide). Before digital photography, it was common to ask for slides for photographic contests.
If you shot in film, I imagine you'll have a slide made. If you shot in digital, then of course you'll bring something digital (find out which files types they prefer).
I've never entered a contest, so keep that in mind. I'm no expert, but I think this is what they are asking for.
Good luck.

Sara - The subject was difficult.
It's a large piece of glass set in a wall. At first I thought it was a refridgerator door. It's as tall as a door about maybe two feet wide. The blue light shines from the bottom of the panel. I guess it's a piece of art (it's not a door).
Anyway, it was tough to find the "right" motions to capture it meaningfully.
Thanks for commenting.

Yeah, I try to be pretty militant about filling in all the blanks and putting stuff in my About. Sorrry if I over-spoke.
If you are interested in the how of Luxagraphia, that's a tough one. You can read a little about it on my portfolio Luxagrphia's main page:
http://www.usefilm.com/photographer.asp?ID=107677&PF=25833
Basically, it's all about camera motion. This was kind of a twist and pull thing. I have a pretty broad repertoire of motions I employ. Different lights and situations of course respond differently.
Hahaha, sometimes I flail around pretty good.
Yeah, doing a series. I would probably just paste the same little paragraph into each about (and maybe add some other bit to each one that required it).
Thanks and see you around.

uh huh.. OK from now on I will try and put some info in my abouts... it just gets a bit hard sometimes and sometimes I will open a series and put all the relevant details in the first couple of images and then those that check out my werk can comment in full knowledge of what I am up to (say the Site Incident Series which ran for a goodly part of last year) otherwise it gets a bit same old so yeah.. great image this I haven't got a clue how it was made but so be it.. great work

Roger - The way I do it is I have a look at someone's image, absorb it, admire it, then if I'm inclined I have a look at the About--like those little cards in museums. I do find it a bit disappointing when someone leaves those cards blank, as it were. I mean, I'm here to discuss the images, to learn from them. I see that as a part of the dialog. And since my images are rarely obvious, I try to be good about my Abouts.
Of course, I think you already agree.
Thanks for commenting on this one.

Riny - At first I was moving to increase the black to remove the little bit of color on the left. Then I considered cropping it off. Finally, I brought those colors UP using the contrast and felt that, even though they subtle, they did really emphasize the blue and not detract from it. Thanks for commenting.
