I am reminded of casts of the people trapped in lava in the ruins of Pompeii, or in ash in Hiroshima, or patients I have seen thrashing on the floors of asylums. The perspective and angle give a dynamic, precarious balance which for me only emphasizes the implied motion and the mood of panic.
