I really don't see any green. Are you talking about what's in the left hand top corner? Cause that's blue...
This snail was on this bridge: http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1152314 It's a light coloured wood... maybe I'm the one who can't see it?
And I have a centipede/newspaper/porch joke similar to yours but I'll spare you. :P

He hasn't made much progress over three days, has he??? hahaha
He didn't go very far because he crawled back into his shell at the sight of my camera. (I wish I was kidding =/)

Carlen: I also see a tad green dominant here . . . IMO. But the shot is really good! Textures are perfect . . . from the wet, grained wood to the curves of the shell. The composition is really good too. Your work is becoming better and better as time passes and this is a good argument to back up my saying that!
This reminds me of my favorite joke. A man opens his front door to go to work and sees a snail on the porch. He tosses it across the street and goes to work. So . . . a year later, he's watching TV and there's a knock on the door. He opens it and looks down to see this snail on the porch. The snail says "So What the Hell was that all about??"
Bwa HAHAHAHAAAA!
Congrats on FP FC! Very cool!!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

I too like this photo of the series the best. The detail is much sharper, and the composition is stronger with the snail in one of the thirds and the darker grained area in another. I like the lines and the spiral contrasting each other. Very good photograph Carlen. Best of wishes to you, Garold

He hasn't made much progress over three days, has he??? But that's a snail for ya. ;) He seems to be part chameleon too - has adapted his colors to his environment! :)
I like this one the best of the three, compo-wise. Nice macro, Carlen. Gayle

Nice series. The snail really complements the wood both in coloration and in texture.
