Thank you for your comments Michele.

However, as your neighbour to the North, I am not sure how much different our lifestyles are.

All the best,
Ed

Thank You for the information and explanation Ed... It surely must be 'the greatest bird specticle on earth' by looking at your image.

Thank you for adding me as a friend . I am as facinated by learning about other lifestyles, and countries as I am photogrphy. Your life looks very sweet thru my eyes !

The Best to You,
Michele~

Thank you for your comment Michele.

This is just normal activity for the area. I hope a description from the park brochure will better explain it to you: Nakuru is one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes and a fantastic bird sanctuary, its shores populated at times by more than one million flamingos. The famous ornithologist Roger Tory Peterson defined it as "the greatest bird spectacle on earth".

All the best,
Ed

WOW !!!!!! AGAIN.... Amazing shot ... I have definitely never seen this much wildlife in such a close area... It reminds me of people trying to watch a music concert, or something . . what in the heck was going on?
Thank You for sharing ,
Michele Carlsen~

Thank you for your comment Cathy.

Hopefully you get a chance to get some photos of that sometime (even if it is a disposable underwater camera [I am still kicking myself for not doing that in Jamaica]); I would love to see them.

All the best,
Ed

Its mind boggling the number of conscious beings in this small area.
I had this experience recently on the Great Barrier Reef where I was expecting to see maybe a dozen fish. There were millions! Of course I don't have an underwater camera. I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of individual beings.
Before that I was a fish eating vegetarian. Since meeting these beings I find I can't eat them now. Darn! Cathy
