About The lighting conditions were not ideal because of the street lights, but I love the pic because at the very bottom you can see where the lightning touched off a fire!

Great shot Lana.

However, I think I would have cropped off the distracting buildings at the bottom of the image.

All the best,
Ed

Thanks. This was my ifrst time shooting lightning and I was so excited to capture that fire. Definitly in the right place at the right time and I finally learned my lesson that I must keep my equipment with me at all times so I dont miss out!

A beautiful shot Lana, talk about being in the right place at the right time! :)

I must admit, I'm with Jacob on the noise removal - the photo would be better without it, I think. But I quite like the colour cast - it makes the photo a bit more "real", somehow.

Anyway! A great capture nonetheless. :)

I love your redo. Thanks for the advice. Other than a simple crop I have not tried any post work yet. But, it is interesting to see how it can change a photo.

Yes! This is a great capture! Personally, I'm fond of the stars you've captured in addition to the ligtning. I think a bit of post work would clean up this image wonderfully...maybe get rid of noise and darken things up? As it is, it's a wonderful photo!

Well done, and keep up the great work!
J

I hope you don't mind my attempt at a rehash...felt like fussing. :-) I removed the noise and color cast and brightened up the fire a bit. But, personal taste is just that...personal. Again...well done!
