About	Who says that lightning doesn't stike twice in the same place? On this shot the shutter was open long enough to capture two strikes that hit the same hill-top within a few seconds of each other. You can see a slight orange glow just to the right of the ground strike; this was a fire that was caused just minutes before. Thankfully there was enough rain to drown it fairly quickly. more to come...

Thanks very much everyone for the kind comments on this.

Justyna, I was shooting these lightning shots for three nights of storms here. Each shot was leaving the shutter open for a minimum of about 30 seconds. Some of the shots I left the sutter open much longer (as much as 1 minute).
