Beautiful scenery and lovely muted colours in the clouds.. I think Jessie makes a valid point re cropping.. the tree placed off centre produces a stronger composition ~ you could get 2 great images from this shot as you have excellent subject matter either side :)
regards, susie

Ha! This is somewhat silly jessie but I have a cannon powershot A410 ( does a bit of everything but nothing all that well))). . . I get to adjust color , sharpness, & cropping ... that's it ! I have heard very good things about picasa , and the Price is right !
Thank you for all of your tips and in-sight,
Your friend,
Michele~

you're welcome, michele. did you like it? i have learned about judicious cropping here at uf. :) for which i am grateful. this photo looked so different, in the 5-6 ways i cropped it. i also liked a crop that was tall and skinny - the rock and the tree and the sky, with not much water around. i also straightened the horizon. what photo program do you use? i like picasa, it is free from google.

i agree - i am always up for learning. compliments are wonderful but they don't teach me much. i learn every day.

michele - such a gorgeous picture, but for me, a little too much to look at. i'd look at cropping various things to see what sticks out. i played around with it, and focused on the tree and the clouds in the immediate background. tell me what you think!
