Somehow I thought you might like this one, Mary. It was a real revelation to me, again, how lighting can make all the difference. Thanks for your evaluation, which means much to me. Anson

So striking and beautiful Anson. Colour and texture so warm. Love the leaves at the side - great natural frame.

Thanks Nacho. A flimsy attempt on my part to do something for the "Glass" project, but I am glad you like it. The nature of the glass lamp contributed greatly to the quality of the image. Only a simple tungsten light was placed below and behind it. Regards. Anson

This is one of my favorite Tuscan colors, Emanuele, which I also find it very warming too. Thanks for commenting and I hope you visit again. Anson

Somehow I knew this photo would get your attention, Pan, knowing your own preferences as judged from your portfolio. The glass of the lamp itself was deep amber in color, giving the warmth, and the simple tungsten backlighting accentuated that warmth. I like it much also. Thanks for looking and writing. Anson

Not yet. I bought ten or twenty of these LED's. Haven't figured out what exactly I'll be doing with them, how to drive them, etc. But, we shall see.

Thanks, James, and are you doing some IR photography with artificial light?

Works well. You might consider experimenting with different light sources to see what kinds of results you can get. I just bought a bunch of IR LED's, for instance. Have fun.

Being a transparent amber colored oil lamp, I used an ordinary tungsten lamp positioned below direct view and behind the oil lamp. Anson

Interesting. What did you use for illuminating your subject?
