Hi Doyle, Thank you for your interest in the 'Bedigo Cathedral'. You obviously know of this grand old cathedral too. I went to a Cathedral School and my interest in the like probably stems from there. I have an internal which I will be submitting soon. I hope you like that as well. Again, thank you for your interest. JD

Thank you, Michele, for your kind interest in my 'Bendigo Cathedral'. I was proposing to submit an internal pic that I took at a later date, but I will instead submit a macro shot that might be of interest! By the way, I LIKE the photo of the ladies with 'red hats'... ;-) Kind Regards JD

John: Great Capture of historical interest. Bendigo was a rich gold mining town during the gold rush of the late 1800's and much of it's architecture reflects the wealth during this era. Perhaps the most stunning example is the Sacred Heart Cathedral located on a hill overlooking the city (surprise, surprise). Unlike many country churches which are often blue stone, the creamy sandstone of this cathedral provides a beautiful contrast with the blue skies and late afternoon light, though this hsot sets it off with the black of night. Well done on exposure and composition!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

This is a beautiful Cathedral JD hard to imagine it was built in the 1800's !!! Well, in the US it was in the 1800's .... I may need correction on this statement. It is an old and well made structure that you have photographed so well with the lighting and composition. If the lighting was darker..it could be spooky...I like it this way !!!
Health & Peace JD, Michele~
