There is something really subtle about the effects that makes it looks like it's actually moving, almost like an optical illusion. Thats a new kind art that looks like it's moving even though it's not.

Before you jump into Picture It or MGI, check out Nikon's new software, which has been highly praised as what 'would have been' if Photoshop were not invented. http://www.nikonimaging.com/global/news/2006/0221_05.htm

WOW......Amazing Shirley. If they are not expensive programs I'll get right out there and buy them!!! :) Thanks for the tips! I think Id also love to get my hands on that coral paint program. Kinda expensive however but I think I would really like it.
Take care Shirley......

Thank you so much, Paul...you are very sweet!:) I do not use Photoshop, I mainly use two simple and inexpensive software programs. The main one is Microsoft Picture It, which I've pushed beyond what most people think it can do. The second is MGI Photosuite III, which has a few features that Picture It does not. I am hoping to take a class in Photoshop soon, as I'm sure it would broaden my skills. I would not want to try to learn it from a book, either...too complicated.

Sooo magical Shirley! What you can do is just mind blowing......I wanted to ask how did you get so talented at ps? Did you ever take any classes? I can't just read a book a fellow along as good as most could. I have a huge book called Photoshop 7.0 but to read it and get much out of it is impossible for me!! lol I love this shot Shirley, it soo magical. Beautiful tones and effect! FANTASTIC!!

A lovely image Shirley . . . with (IMO) a distinctive oriental feel to it. The swirling light pulling out the stucco and deeping into shadow swirls on the jasmine side really gives this one a nice overall melding of imagery. ---Just from the thumbnail I knew it was yours . . . a Crossism work of art that has your distinct style imbedded in it. Very nice!

I love the way you have the jasmin in this, however I find the light to the left to be somewhat distracting... think less brightness over the model would work better here.
