I can only say there is this amazing feeling or nobility coming from the front leave. almost feels like 2 people passing on different sides of the street, noticing but not noticing.

I love the idea here. The background has nice texture. But as for the leaves, I think it's better to choose larger ones with brighter color/tone so that they would be more contrasting with the background.

Jo, nice idea and capture with this image. IMHO I feel that the background is much to contrasty and the leaves on the right are blown out and the details of the veins are lost, possibly just turn them over, the detail has been kept with the leaves on the left. A closer crop might help also. But these are my opinions and only through my eyes.

Great idea, composition and crop!! But it's a bit too Black&W IMHO, for the texture of the background is nice (a towel??) but you've lost almost all the details on the leaves (the top or rather bottom one on the right is even a bit blown out), so maybe reshoot with a dark grey (concrete for texture??) background, for this idea is worth it... ;-D

Hi Joao,
Nice arrangement, and a good composition but I find the conttrast a bit too harsh. It kind of blows away the subtleties that are needed to show the geometry of the leafs.
The dark tones, strongly emphasise the atmospehere, making it rather gloomy and ominous. I'm not quite sure such a dark atmosphere fits very well to the subject, but that's purely subjective. It's definitely a very arty effect!

The idea is great and the position of the leaves well done. In MHO, I find that the backgroun is too dark and therefore it is not really the leaves that attract the eyes. Perhaps a brighter background would be better, with a slight grainy effect.
Good work anyway..
