Andre,

That's awesome - nothing like a weekend with some racing ;) The one thing I'm really excited about is that Toyota is bringing their current F1 car all the way from Germany for demonstration laps around Laguna Seca. I'm a big fan of F1 (as well as Toyota) but have never seen one 'race' around a track so that's an added bonus to this weekend. Hopefully we'll both get some good shots of all the different cars :)

Hi Toshi,
Staying off topic for this one too. I will also be at the Historic races at Lime Rock Conn. on the Labor Day weekend. I'm sure it is the next stop on the tour. So, we will probably get a lot of the same cars in our shots. I will be moving my son back down to Boston on the Friday and will probably get to the races on Monday.

Thanks Andre.

Yeah, there seems to have been some kind of problem. I had a couple of comments on this last night and was notified of more comments through email but when I just checked an hour or so ago, there were no comments at all.

A little off-topic but I know you appreciate historic cars - I'll be attending the annual Historic Races at Laguna Seca this weekend so I hope to get some nice shots and show them here ;)

Hi Toshi,
I commented on this one early this morning, but for some reason it seems to have gotten erased?
I think they had some technical difficulty today, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Anyway, what I said was... Unlike your earlier posted B&W image in the glass project, this image works very well! This one reminds me of some of those old turn of the century photographs that you see in all the classic photography books. It has everything going for it. Great balance, simplicity and elegance! It has beautiful texture and lovely tones. IMO, the subject is an old favourite of B&W photographers because it shows so well with a dark background. Great job!
