It might work solely as an abstract art piece, even suggesting wood inlay or sculpture. But I think the saturation and twirl filters were used to the point that it ceased to be a photo, assuming this was derived from a photograph. I don't have anything against using distortion filters on photos, either slightly for correction, or primarily for effect - so long as the photo remains.
