I think that it looks very good! I never did anything to this image, but I can see that it really is a good idea cropping and erasing to make it more "clean" and powerful. Thanks for showing me.

The colors and the vertical lines "make" this image. I think cutting off a small piece at the left (to stress the vertical lines) and the top (remove some distracting elements) will improve the image.
I gave it a quick try (also cloned the light switch and the door knob away). So, what do you think?

Aaah! Such a colorful and nice composition! Would it have only a bit more sharp focus, especially at the depth of the girl!
But redo that, redo that! Call the girl and tell her to just come out of the window on a sunny day. Then: Narrower apperture and with the strong light it will be enough to have a short exposition time (against motion blur) enough DoF.
