expert and excellent. jesus, what can you say about this photo? what can't you say? makes paying 7K for that lens almost worth it;)
i especially admire the background tones and textures, which complement and contrast the figure so well. to tell the truth, i never thought i'd praise a bird picture, but this is too attractive to pass up. great shot.

We have these Green herons all around us. Too bad I lack your expertise in shooting them in flight. Nice work Marcus. I can't think of any needed improvements in this image.

Getting such right capture, is not easy especially a fast moving subject like this which require perfect control over exposure ,where lighting and an idyllic background enhance and share the professional looking photo, your background knowledge and quick alert does help in showing a special showcase like this one. A photo like this does not need a critiques corner :) well spotted and captured. Saeed

Beautiful capture of the heron in flight. This looks like a painting, rather than a photo. You should frame and hang this one.

Another PoD, Marcus. Congats., although I don't know how UF can choose a certain one of your bird-photos as BIP. PoD or whatever. They are all perfectly done as far as I'm concerned. As to this one, it would seem that all kind of birds flock to your whereabouts to be taken photos of. I try to put smilies (on the right) in my comments but so far I've not managed to. can you tell me how it's done? Thank you for your comment. Well appreciated. Rafi

Hi Marcus, You got some beautiful lighting on this one! It almost appears like the light is shining from beneath and through his wings like backlight. At the same time great detail on top of the bird.
Congrats for the Awards on that one with the trees in the background. I knew that would be a winner. Andre

If you stop working on these birds on their flight i will not be happy with you, that why you must keep on going, this is one the most wonderful fields of photography and you are doing a great job here which I do respect a lot:))))))
this is a wonderful capture here and with perfect timing, exposure, details and very well saturated colors, I did enjoy viewing this image as I did enjoy the previous one also.
Wishing you all of the best my friend.

Hi Marcus,
I think I like this version better - the brightness adjustment really shows off the colors and details of the bird's plummage much better IMO. Great capture!
