About The Lindisfarne Gospels, late 7th or early 8th century.

Photo taken in the Priory museum, Lindisfarne (Holy Island) depicting the making of what is now seen as a national treasure.

Faith can be found in many forms... these scriptures are a legacy that even in the most turbulent times, whatever our beliefs, they can help us ride the storm.

Keep well & bright

Bless... hello Art & thank you for cheering up my mail box again :)

Those layer things have only recently clicked into place with me... you know when you see loads of images & think 'how the 'ell av they done that?' Well... guess the best way to figure out anything in Photoshop is to play. Amazing how much you find out by pure accident in there! lol

Anyway... great fun :) go play... You'll have me envious in no time x

Just beautiful Sue and so full. Wonderful work to get this image- so pleased to see the original (which I like too!). You have achieved such a strong but peaceful atmosphere to me. Faith, (whatever it is), rising above much is an important message I would definitely agree with!

Hi Adnan.... thank you for your comment.. greatly appreciated.

This was all done in photoshop using several different layers... would take quite a bit of explaining... basically though desaturated colours apart from window & table book was on then overlayed with difference clouds (erased from centre of photograph) then used the tri colour ligh effect to bring some colour through from the window (which if I remember correctly is really a poster on the wall). I then overlaid the photo over one of my backgrounds & blended the two together using layer mask.

Not sure if you follow all of that as uncertain to how well you know photoshop.

It did take several different layers & an hour to complete.

Have attch'd original so you can see the change.

Thanks again & please feel free to ask if you have any more questions :)
