I am with Heather here. This photo is on the cusp of being damned, damned, damned good.

The lightining is fantastic, really quite extraordinary, well done for being there and capturing it so well. Your composition is also very good, the span of the bridge is brilliantly brought across. The middle support a bit off center and the two ends disapearing past the frame. There is a good balance of foreground, subject and background. For once the oily water of the Thames looks good, all those colours mix together so well.

The main problem is that damned background, it takes away from the subject. Kick some backbone into Marius so that he can stand at the top of the stairs while you go down and shoot from a lower angle. I really think it could end up in something special Meg.

I mean this in the best possible way (plenty of artists get offended at it) but this could make a fantastic postcard for the Millenium Bridge corp.

Hi Heather,

I feel exactly the same way as you about this. I was at the top of a flight of stairs leading down to the water, however there was this wierd man walking up and down behind me with a smile on his face. It just didn't seem safe to walk to the bottom of the stairs. I'm planning on going back sometime, but the chances of being this lucky with the sky colour again seem slim :) Thanks for the constructive crit.

Hi Megan,
The water looks great - cool colours.
I think its a pity the bridge is not somehow separated from the rest of the skyline - if you got closer could that have worked?
Nice one anyway!
H:)
