Bless... this is my fav of the bunch... think it's the colour here but I could imagine this one hanging on the wall in a smart coffee shop (maybe I should print off & go round all the coffee shops in Alnwick (we have loads! lol) Could make a penny or two..lol)
The 'Northern light' effect (love how you've compared it to them!) was created using a torch with a blue light (one of the new energy saving ones) pointing down, whilst precariously balancing my camera in one hand in order to take the shot!... then I enhanced the blue effect around the smoke using the blue Omni light in photoshop. Seems to be the most popular of this collection so guess it was worth all the effort.. lol x

These jostick shots work so well Sue, but still can't figure how you got the 'northern lights' effect going on the the next shot - amazing!

This one is my favourite... due to the background colour... very glad you picked up on it.
Not sure what it is exactly but this one offers me the greatest sense of peace... I guess I love the way the deep brown josh sticks stand out in the darkness below opening up to a more lighter background & the smoke. Hard to explain but I can say this was one of those images that really gave me satisfaction with the final effect.
One some day I will hang on the wall I think.

What I really like here is the colour against that background. There is something almost sad until I get to the great colour.
