I chose to skip sharpening to keep the presence of the sea mist intense as it was that windy, sunny day. I think that a larger resolution might help... Thank you all for your comments

Thank you Chris for your advise and your time. I like your idea for B&W and I'm surely going to spend some time on it...In fact I felt that something was missing and I was trying to add a border to the picture but the result was poor. I couldn't wait to find a solution so I uploaded the photo. I'll be more patient next time... Thanks again.

For me the diffuse light is one of the strengths of this. It immerses them in amongst the sea spray. So I'm not sure increasing the contrast would help. i agree there is some frustration in the definition of this - maybe some careful sharpening? Nice image anyway.

I think you have all the makings of great picture here but you need to spend some time in post with some software to now work with the image to find something you like. For example I have increased the contrast, sharpened the image, added a border, and converted it to a B&W image; see how you like that. Good Luck, and enjoy the process.
