About I have been able to ride a bike for ages. My first bike ever was stolen just days after my birthday (7/12/1958) when I was 8 in Gary, Indiana. This year, Mike, Nathan and Elizabeth bought MM and me a bike for Mother's/Father's Day. MM and I try and get out every week or so to do some riding. We used to lash the beasts inside the pickup bed and hope they did not fall over. After a few months, MM bought a bike carrier. A simple easy to toss up carrier. It cost about $30.00 Yank. And it works just fine. So when we went to Sheffield the other day... imagine my wallet pang when I see this carrier (way more than $30.00 Yank!!) and the first thing what pops into me head was, "WOW!!! Nice carrier! I bet they paid a bundle for that! And it didn't even come with its own socks!" Ya would think if ya paid that much... there would be some kind of paint protection included. Heck, for $30.00 Yank our carrier has plastic coated ends and foam cushion bars.
