I can imagine that cold! Brrrr! Actually in your photo the cold can be very well felt!
So let's keep both maths and atmos and take the best of both words!
Best wishes,
Nick

Dear Nick Yes, this winter Anna Sophie and I were running around on the ice on Roskilde Fjord having a great, but also cold time! I´ve a difficult time choosing which one I like the best. Your example makes it more strong as a mathematician would do it whereas mine has a bit more atmosphere I think:-) We´ll take two, please! Best wishes, Annemette

Drakkars, you say? Excellent! Any chances to embark as a navigator under your command? Just for a re-dicovery of some island not very far away. I think somewhere in south sea would suffice. ;-)
I found some photos of Roskilde Fjord in the web, a beautiful place indeed! Does it freeze in winter?
Oh, and what do you think of the touched up photo? My PS knowledge is rather limited, but just out of curiosity I tried to see if it could be somehow made "better". I think the touched up photo won some additional detail in the depth but has lost that foggy atmosphere that made the feeling for depth and distance stronger in your original photo.
Take care my viking maid!

Yes, the sky is a bit burnt out:( This image is taken just a few minutes away from my home at Roskilde Fjord. There are so many boats sailing through the fjord in the summertime also the old drakkars:-) Best wishes to you, Annemette

Oh, oh, oh, that's a hard one! Most of the time either the sky will be overexposed, or the ground underexposed. You managed to balance that very nice, with perhaps a bit of overexposition on the upper part.
The composition is great, having three boats at the front, the middle and the back plane, getting the feeling of depth with only three elements. Also, the absence of color makes these three elements much stronger as there is then nothing else to draw attention.
Very very nice. Keep it up,
Nick
P.S.: Do you perhaps remember your settings, Annemette?

Astonishing shot dear Annemette! The perspective you’ve chosen makes this feeling that the boat generates water. Lovely presenting in B&W at least regarding to my taste! Best regards: Maxime
