Exactly, Michele! Although I do belive that this door may be the one to an unknown world like climbing through the closet and going to Narnia:-) Dream on always! People like us feed on dreams:-)What would we be without them? Annemette

Hi Annemette,
Very interesting door...it puzzles me too. It appears so narrow and is so boarded up , even double boarded... and chained...'then it is painted such a pretty pink all around it !' What a find Annemette! Wonder what's behind it ? I think it's a jewelry store !!!!
Dreaming on now , Michele~

Great perceptive comment! Thank you:-) Always a pleasure reading your thoughts. The contrast also puzzled me.

Nice subject and colors. I don't like to much the distortion effect of the lines that seems curves instead of straights. Probably a little additional space in top and bottom of the photo would be better

Another one of the examples of that different perception of life, especially when going southwards.
In the middle of a wonderfully painted wall, there stands an old door that seems to consist only of boards of wood nailed somehow together. Perhaps the eyes of the perfectionists would be offended, but even perfectionists enjoy taking the time for a looong coffee and a talk at the café. It is the same time that could also be used for making everything perfect.. and at the same time inhuman.
And though the door might be more a hindrance than an entrance this way, one can nonetheless smile with the contradictions of life, with that funny ability of life to be able to find ways through even when there are no ways visible.
Very nice pastel colors on this, Annemette, that add softness to the human touche of the photo. The door seems to be a bit fisheye distorted but this doesn't really disturb the overall view of the fine details and above all the nice coloring.
Very well seen and captured.
Take care, Nick.
P.S.: I can imagine that protective father nailing the door ;-)

This is so atmospheric. Really makes me wonder what the history was and why it is over. What a mystery. Colours and lines wonderful.
