My left thumb looked exactly like that when I got it a little too close to a running table saw. That was years ago, but it turned out to be a good thing since the slight numbness I constantly feel from it reminds me not to do anything as stupid again . BTW. the score is really "thumbs 0, saws 2". Hope you're feeling better!

I cut the tip of my left forefinger off with a kitchen knife while cutting green bell peppers. Missed the bone. It grew back and is mostly like new. Remember, it is much better to cut bell peppers skin side down.
