Thanks Dave . . . this was shot at Aquatic Park near Fisherman's Wharf. Marcus, huh? Wow. Uhhhhh . . . except he would have somehow managed to get the bird to turn around and bank at a nice oblique angle!
Is Crissy Field near Aquatic Park?

Geeze, following in the footsteps of Marcus, were we?
Great shot. Looks like you were at Crissy Field. Nice clarity and gee, you had one clear day of shooting.
Best wishes and all that stuff, Dave

very impressive shot, intresting light on pelican's wings and great use of dof, wich makes "readable" background even if only bird is focused! fantastic, as all your portfolio! congratulations emiliano

Wow . . . guess I accidently cropped out the naked woman. Bummer. But, then again, this is San Francisco . . . you can't always be sure unless they're nude sunbathing! Saw your shot too . . . you were throwing food up in the air? :) Brave . . . try that here and they'll paint you white!! LoL!

It'd make a great place to visit Juan . . . and not so far from Argentina really. I'm sure you'd enjoy coming as much as we'd enjoy your pictures of the place. By the way, you were quite correct . . . It is written as "Golden Gate Bridge" -- Like you . . . there are so many places to visit . . . both in and out of the country...... :) Thanks for the comments!

Thanks Phillip. I really wanted to catch this little (using that term loosely) guy with the bridge in the BG . . . and, naturally, he didn't cooperate until JUST before leaving! I may have said "GOTCHA!" and pumped my fist up and down in the air after the shot . . . Hmmmmmm . . . probably seemed strange to passersby now that I think about it. LoL! :)

Excellent selective focus and that on a moving object, that nonetheless stands in very good contrast to its background. The small stripe of sea and the boats do the rest and here we are another splendid capture of the moment!
Keep it up!

Very nice image of one of my favorite birds. I love the way the angle of the spread wings mimics the angle of the bridge in the background. Nicely framed.
