Hi JD,

You are right ....Your words were that I was very 'expressive' in my comments... NOT
'explosive' ( yikes).
Nope don't want to be explosive at all.

Thank You very much for clearing that up and also for NOT thinking of me in that way.
Kind Regards , mate
Michele~

Me again,
I'm sorry, but you used the word'explosiveness'
which I associate with a quick-tempered, fiery lass. You don't seem to fit that mould. Just wanted to clear that up !
Kind regards, your mate(ozzie talk)
JD

Whew.... when Gust@vo brought up my leveling problems again...I thought 'oh no!'

I was worried about regressing... I kind of think you might come to a couple images where I had a back-slide.....

But thank You soo much for this comment and lesson of thirds .

All the Best,
Michele~

Nicely done Michele! I'm not so sure the ocean here isn't level. Generally, a beach slopes into the sea (Or else the sea wouldn't stop, right?) - As you know . . . leveling is tricky anyway . . . but with the rain and mist you can't really tell one way or the other. In cases like that - you simply have to use a level that 'feels' right or, at least, doesn't seem wrong. This shot qualifies, I think, nicely.

The colors are natural and realistic and the composition is really pretty good with the strong diagonal meeting a horizon line that's perfectly aligned with the rule of thirds. Wet sand . . . sand bar . . . beach debris.

All in all, very well done! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Hi JD ,

Thank You for the tips, and guidence sincerely.

Ha! I had to laugh when You brought up Good Value ! Of course I am flattered and also recall when you politely mentioned my explosiveness and some what of a value in my comments section!
It was funny to me and I appreciate our differences very much. I am very dramatic, so it was all true, and others are more subtle, or quiet... we are all different . I just can't help myself ... I am glad you don't hold it against me .

Thank You very much my friend,
Michele~

Hi, I am very flattered that you remembered what I said about this and other submissions of yours!
Another suggestion, and I should practise this more myself, is to shoot from unusual angles (I don't mean tilting the frame) eg. down lower than eye-level or somehow overhead, etc. Makes for intreesting shots.
Meanwhile keep up the comments in reply, I think most of Usefilm Members regard you as GOOD VALUE!

Thank You JD . I am very happy you notice a difference and take the time to comment. I am trying very hard because I love photography so much. I was being sensitive to the coastline not being perfectly level because I don't want ones who have tried to help me, and teach me to think I am not listening or paying attention.
Thank You very much JD !
Michele~

Well!! It looks like you've got it together, Ms Carlsen. This is a GOOD shot of the coast. Looking at the other replies that you made to comments, you might have been too hard on yourself. It pays to be critical of yourself, but recognise accolades when recieved, Michele.
Good work...
JD

One day I can do this too I hope . I don't have these programs , not even 'free picassa' ... I am out of RAM on my computer . , when it rains it pours ...
Thank you tho... everyone makes it seem soooo simple but with-out a program to help it can be challenging.

Best wishes,
Michele~
I wish I could straighten this one out....
I know the horizon is off !

Hello Marcos,

Thank You very much for your comment . If you knew Oregon you would really know how rare it is... ( a foggy, rainey place in general)

Best wishes,
