David thank you, your enthusiam for this work humbles me especially after I saw the incredible work you have amassed in your portfolio, wonderful work, I am envious; your sense of composition and colours are remarkabke. I am delighted you enjoyed this as it is one of my favourite pieces; in fact I just posted a video of my usefilm contributions that I share with friends online through YouTube using this very photo as the opening frame (though it is never the same as the high res pictures). I don't think a photographer can have a better compliment then knowing you would hang his work in your home :)

I want this - hahha. Chris - this is fantastic. The framing is perfect what a great choice. I know that Birch and Aspen Fall ( Autumn to us Australians) have been photographed countless times this one of yours stands out. The front to rear sharpness really sets this off. The small patch of sky - well I looked at this both ways - try putting your hand over the corner and your eyes are imemdiately drawn to the centre of the image, when the sky is visible I seem to start at the left am move my eyes to the right - uncanny. This would be proud on any wall.

Nature presented quite a photo, but you saw it, composed the color patches as shown, and so on. Very good photo.

The verticle lines here defined by the colours really make the picture I quite agree. I am delighted you enjoyed the image, thank you for the comments. I hope you can share with us some of the your fall colours in October!

Olga, I am flattered I found a forest you would enjoy walking! There is little to be scared of and so much to enjoy in the forests......and you can't live in Canada and be afraid of forests. I hope you took some pictures you can post of your trip to the mountains!

Chris, this is reminiscent of a Jackson Pollack painting... Tree trunks are a rich visual in diversity of make up... and especially here with the autumn colours aroud them...
Well seen...
