About This is our native aligator lilzrd. this was a small to medium one. This lizard can grow to nearly one foot in length. They are quite calm and can be handled safely. This guy is called Elagaria coerulea. They like to hide in and under dead down trees. Sometime they can be very hard to find other times you can see them scampering around.
