Kata Tjuta...THE OLGAS are close to the centre of Australia, surrounded by DESERT and 27kms /18 miles west of AYRES ROCK, the biggest. But the 28 'hills' of The Olgas are actually higher! They seem to have just popped up out of the ground, for there is NOTHING but flatness for miles...
Thanks, Scottie, but I was in awe of the intensity of the BLUE in the sky while I was on location. I went Mid-summer, which is the off season ( most people don't like the heat ), and I expected the sky to be hazy with water vapour, but, of course, no moisture on the ground = clear skies!! Cheers JD
