Dear Ali...
Thank you so much!
Naturally you are permitted to add comments whether about photography or otherwise, and I appreciate your having done so. I know I will always feel very "close" with Rashed, your Dear brother... I will always send him and you and your family all the best my friend :)
Sincerely and humbly and with much appreciation - may your pain become more bearable. I hold you all close to my heart and light candles for Rashed. Warmly, Aniko

Oddly, I am an over exposer (on print film anyway...)I shoot a lot of stage work, and unless looking for the grainy effect that underexposure brings, and then using curves etc to make an interesting and "blanced" image, I generally get some very good shots... don't mean to brag... (*insert embarrassed emoticon here*)...
I do value your input and advice, Tony, and thank you kindly!
In this particular image, I was not so concerned about the bodice of the dress being blown out. The focus for me was more in the creases of the skirt and the bride's face.
Thank you for talking so much time and interest in my work! It means a lot to me. And I too look forward to more of your work :) Aniko

More than just acceptable I think!!I forgot to add that I find, when taking stage shots(which is only once or twice a year,as you can see in my stage portfolio!)it's a good idea to slightly underexpose most shots as you can almost always make a feathered selection and then bring back the light and detail in curves.Looking forward to your next photos...Tony

Thank you very much Tony!
Indeed it was a rather "tricky" shot and the detail in the upper part of her dress is a tad "blown out" ... however, I think it is just acceptable... hope so :)
Warm Wishes, Aniko :)

Well chosen for the Alone project;the expression on her face and the flowers to one side say it all.The composition and isolating darkness are most effective. It's just a little over-exposed above the waist where highlight detail is lost in the blouse.Still, this was obviously a difficult shot to expose for and you've done a very good job on the whole. Best regards, Tony

This looks very much like a painting, Aniko! My eyes wonder along the folds of her skirt where the light plays on the creases - just like in a painting. And, of course, it is the whole atmosphere of the body that gives the title of your posting and which captures the viewer's attention! A WINNER!!!! YT

Ani, there is something going on here, have I been thrown over for Jan in the F.C. race??? This bride certainly looks jilted. The light, as you mention,is beautiful and your post-processing (particularly on the dress) looks amazing. Great work ! B:)

Heartfelt thanks Jan!
The bride was not disappointed... :) I was just being "creative" with this shot. Interestingly enough, quite a few of my models have had me shoot their weddings! So this young lady was not adverse to posing for this shot! There are other images of her here, not as a bride, but for her modelling portfolio, which is how I first met her.
Warmest Wishes, Aniko :)

Beautiful mood shot; if "disappointment" was your mood goal, you surely achieved it. Bummer!!!! Wonderful use of lighting and the contrast is perfect. --Best to you, Jan
