Many thanks Barbara ~ it sounds like you have some good models to work with... Daisy lives quite locally so hopefully will get some more shots of her soon .. the shadow bothered my on this one so I have worked on blending it in and will try to upload to corrected one here :) thanks again, susie

I love this capture, so sweet looking, sharp, great detail and clarity, excellent job.
I have two poms and a wawa, a female and male pom, the little male pom doesn't know what down means, but is a good little lap dog, he loves me, and My husband says I think chance loves me to now, I say sure he does, and he does now, but the first year I was the only one.

Many thanks Ray ~ I have since feathered the shadow to give it a softer look as it bugged me!
Thanks also for update on Mary.. good news the operation went well.. it will be an anxious waiting time for her and her family ~ if you are in touch please pass on that I continue to hold them in my thoughts ... best to you, susie

Thanks so much Marco for your kind comments, and taking time to look at my gallery ~ I agree I prefer focus to be mostly on the subject and tend to use the longer lens more to achive this :) best to you, susie

The shadow is not at all distracting and we grab our pet portraits as best we can. Bless them they don't understand the photographer's needs:):) This is a lovely doggie face with a wonderful expression full of trust and love. Well done to you sweetie.
You will be pleased to hear that Mary is back out of hospital and in the peace and quiet of her own home to complete her recovery. She will not know accurately how effective the op has been until she goes for her next scan in which thay can determine if the tumour is continuing to grow. It is an awful waiting game that has to be played. Poor Mary but she is bright and cheerful despite all, such a brave soldier-girl. My very best wishes to you as always Susie.......Ray;)

Good capture, the expression together with the open mouth and droopy eyes, great! These dogs really look like that. Regards Monique

great shot, nice to see the look in the dog's eyes. Also very sharp: excellent! I see you used a bigger lense so that the background would be more vague. That is always better to get the focus on a portrait's object. You have a very colorful portfolio, i like that. I also like to capture light in all different colors. Great to see the colors. All the best, Marco.

Thanks so much Jan for your comments ~ Daisy is such a character and loves being made a fuss of ~ every time she'd decide to go to someone else she'd give a loud woof and off she'd go.. she is a rescue dog but has a loving home now.. she's overweight and is attending a 'weight-watchers' for dogs :) Best to you and Zoe! susie

Susie-- this photo leaves me darn close to speechless! First off, I have a 14 year old Basset (Zoe) and love her despite all of her Basset weirdness. Secondly, this picture of Miss Daisy, is as good as a Basset pix can be; she is a classic beauty with the beauty and quirkiness showing through so well. Great capture of just the right moment; and... colors and detail are perfect. This one will be marked as a favorite. --Best to you, Jan
