Finally I reply, but am in much pain with my broken elbow... (which is why I have not been in UF for so long...my elbow requires surgery. I find even small tasks like typing hugely difficult... especially frustrating aslo, is not being able to hold a camera...)

Yes... I like ghostly... I find grainy film, good light, expressive models in interesting costumes and old neglected buildings are great ingredients to make these "haunting images".

What a compliment. This lass is 19yo... I am quite a lot older than that! LOL!
Oddly, so many people have asked if I am the model in different images of many different models... perhaps something of "me" finds its way into my images... go figure!

I actually do have another shot like this with the model looking down at the candles, but could not find it to scan. Oddly, this one seems to be the most popular and has sold rather well, whereas the other did not seem to hold as much appeal to people. I think perhaps it might be that in this image, the model appears to have been "caught" doing some magickal ritual or something like that... lol... I personally like both shots and if I can find the other, I will scan it and add it to my PF.

Very nice photo.
The antiqued appearance using the grainy process works quite well here. I think having the model looking down at the candles might have softened the image, but all in all an excellent image.

excellent shot, great use of the grain in the picture. It looks like a prerafaelite, was that your intention? the lighting is very good, with the light falling in from the right and the candles lighting the frame on the left. The composition is also excellent. Well done! All the best, Marco.
