I would say I love the 20D, one thing I would recommend is NOT get the 18 - 55mm lens they often bundle with the camera. It is a cheap lens and not up to the quality this camera can produce. Spend the money on higher quality Canon lens or third party manufacturer (Tamron Tokina) The 30D is the newer version but only major difference is a larger LED screen which is nice but if you can find 20D discounted or slightly used you get more than your monies worth. I have taken over 4000 pictures on the 20D with no problems and the battery seems strong and recharges quickly. Hope that helps.

Very nicely composed, Larry! I like the placement of the "V" shaped fall in the frame. Excellent contrasting of the colours of the leaves with that "Black Water", too.
