Thank you so much Annemette!
There are more such garages for boats than for cars in Beckenried. Who would expect that in the middle of the mountains? ;-)
The clarity is due to the sunny but still cool weather in the spring, that doesn't allow for much water to build haze or fog. Nonetheless there is the right amount of haze that lets one's eye really "feel" what is near and what is far. This is why the buldings "step out" of the image
As about the water, well, this color and translucence tells that it is actually verrrrrrrrry cold! The lake is turquoise in spring when it consists almost of only molten snow. But there are still enough crazy persons that swim in that time of the year :-)
Best wishes,
Nick

Oops, error! The demon of the keyboard striked back! ;-)
I meant that the haze differentiates very strongly between the "felt" distance to the mountains and the "felt" distance to the houses.

Hi Martin and thank you very much for your comment!
There is no post processing on this except of the frame. The photo is the exact copy of that which I received on CD after sending the films for processing. I don't use post porcessing, so whatever it is it comes directly from camera/lens. I like more the direct approach without any alterations.
The 3D-look is simply the result of the haze in the background, which is of course not as strong on the foreground houses, and thus differentiates very strongly between the "felt" distance to the mountains and the "felt" distance to the mountains. Add some visible "base" (the water) and voila! Here you are the 3D-look without any need for post processing.
Thank you very much again and best wishes!
Nick

What an inviting colour of the water!Mmmmm:-) I also like the garage for a boat instead of a car. The image has so much clarity that it looks a bit surreal or maybe too real as if the houses are stepping right out of the image itself. I like this special feeling that it adds to the image. Best wishes, Annemette

The post processing looks a bit unreal, like a montage. But it's easy to look at and I like the vertical framing. All the elements makes a 3D look.
