Location City -  Broken Hill
State -  NSW
Country - Australia   Australia
About Just outside Broken Hill, where the WORLDS LARGEST MINING company started, is a Ghost Town long abandoned. This HUT is one of many tributes to the miners that endured the HARSH Australian climate to seek wealth out of the soil.
Located about 1100km west (approx 660 miles)of Sydney, the site was used in the HOLLYWOOD movie 'Mad Max' and more.

Hi Michele,
The folk in this little 'Hut' would have been well off compared to the other miners/ prospectors that lived in TENTS! The blocks/ bricks are made of a Soft sandy composition with minimal Clay content, hence the early decay. So you are a 'westerner' eh? I always have an ear for a good story, particularly if it is centred around that lovely yellow shiny metal!
Thank you, M, once again for your energy- charged comment! Take care.
