Wonderful shot. At first I didn't like this soft filter-like haze there, but the more I looked, the more appropriate it seems. Very dreamlike stuff. By the way, I find this image definitely dark but that's excactly what I like in images. There has to be something that makes you look and stretch your imagination. Some people tell me, I am doing too many dark images, well of course because I like it that way!

Ah, one of my personal favorites in the V. Bice portfolio (which of course will now be added to my favorites here). This is such a lovely image. The vignetting is masterful and the tones of her face are beyond description. Based on what you said, I'd imagine this image would slaughter the competition in a contest. Wonderful work. Great to see it again.

As you know Verna, that slightly hooked pinky makes this photo. Along with the angelic face of course. And the soft vignette and perfect lighting...and........
One thing...anyone...just how do you rate "originality"? What might seem original to one who hasn't seen it before another might think to be commonplace. Not refering to this image here but in general for rating anything. I only mention it here since I was clicking all the far-right buttons above until I came to "Originality".
Any thoughts? Should it even be a rated aspect of a photograph? Who HASN'T shot a sunset, or flower or pretty much anything that can be placed in front of a camera? Maybe there's a place for "Originality" but I'm struggling to find it!!!
Ok, I'm done now.

Thank you all for your kind comments and marks. To Mr.(not very) ShyFox....you win the prize for today in our game "Guess My Method" contest ... very good ;-)) I think that most folks here aren't
professional photographers and might have a different
approach to this subject of critiquing vs a professionals (need
to know and recongnize) perfection vs problems. My main use
for this format is to help me in choosing my contest photos - if you can please this crowd then you will do well in your local competition.

I'm looking at your picture here. Looks terrific. Natural even. Until...I notice the soft-boxes in her eyes. But the light spread is more indicitive of a honeycomb grid. So it leaves me to belive you PS'ed the fade to black.
If so, you've done it very well. I mean, I had to look. Hard. That's how photoshop should work.
If you didn't PS, how did you do it?????
