Witch means that next time I take this photo, I would have to:
1) Keep the near branches out of the way
2) Somehow manage to capture the existing texture of the water in the foreground that gets overdrawn by the strong light reflection.
A filter might be a possible solution but I don't like them, since they tend to result in "nature on steroids". So I have to think about physics of optics again.
A very nice problem that you gave me there, Giuseppe! Thank you so much for that!
Ciao,
Nick

Much better for me Nick. Now in the almost empty area there is a clear drawing with a nice round pattern. Ciao.

I see exactly what you mean now, Giuseppe! A possible solution would be to zoom in more. I tried also the scissors but... not with very nice results. Too much of the photo gets lost then.
The best I could do was to let the near branches at the bottom right disappear using the cloning tool and then a tonal correction of the textureless part of the water. My PS skills are quite rudimentary and so the result is also not to be taken as a real correction, but perhaos it gives some impression of how the photo could/should have been better capptured. I attached that, so perhaps you could tell me it it is at least the right direction?
But the original has something else, for my eyes. It conveys the immediate proximity to nature. Not observing it from the distance but being embedded it it.
Many many thanks for your nice detailed comment and helping ideas!
Ciao Giuseppe in bella Italia!

Nick, what I like is in the shadowy side of the lake: the sparkling tail of the comet on the water, the colours and clearness, the nest on the tree. What I like less is all in the lighted side: the emptyness of the highlighted water, the black shades on the right that make a not clear design. Nick, I have not said to make use the scissors! Ciao.

Bingo, Fabrice! It is that branch and the water why I like this too. I didn't realize that when I taking the photo but later on.
Thank you very much for the nice comment.
Cheers,
Nick

You know what Nik, I like this shot not for the small house that is too small to see it but for the dead branch and its reflection on tha water. I like its shape as I like the surface of the water on the surrounding. Nice shot.
