Thankyou Onie....a tripod will help with the loss of detail in my landscapes as well? I value your feedback and suggestion...thankyou ever so much. Am off tomorrow to look at "grown up" cameras but in the meantime I have picked up a basic tripod for the Olympus which am hoping to try out tomorrow morning.
I have had a look at several reviews of cameras and will now look at the website you suggested...and have been keeping notes on the cameras used here...I did read an old forum where a U/F asked what camera to buy...but I'll keep that in mind for tomorrow...and will do - you've been a great help...thankyou, really appreciate it!
Have a happy day
S

You are very welcome S... :) a pleasure...
A tripod is a first class asset to invest in, regardless of landscape or macro... There all sizes and prices... We have a small GIOTTO, great for macro (on kitchen bench :)) and a large VELBON, great for everything from macro to landscape...
No matter how we brace ourselves, breathe etc (occasionally fluke it :))the slightest movement and we lose that clarity and maybe that once in a lifetime shot... Saves a lot of *OH NO* & forehead hitting LOL...
Suggest that when you do go for your new camera... ask about a best deal, ie camera, tripod and battery pack (if available, you then have a backup if out walking)lenses etc. or whatever it is you will need... Worth a try, and majority of traders are happy to do so...
Do research as to what camera, whether you want a hands on or a point and shoot... Try dpreview.com for all models previews... Have a look here as to the photos that impress and see what the user has... Ask in the forums here also... Lots of those we admire will tell you the pro's and con's...
~~GRIN~~... Sorry, my brain took off... I'll stop now...
You enjoy and have fun regardless S...
Onie...

Oh Leonie, that's such a lovely comment, thankyou!
I have to laugh at your question...because my earlier photos all tend to be crooked (something of which I am conscious now), therefore, no...no tripod...are you saying I should invest in one?? ;)
I'm investing in a new camera soon and hope to pick up one then too.
Thanks for looking through my portfolio too!!
:)

Love the perspective here Sandra... Feels like I am in the water with just the top of my head out... ~~GRIN~~ The tones are nice and gentle in this...
Have been enjoying a look through your portfolio... Do you work with a tripod??? Hope you don't mind me asking... :)
Onie...

Ciao Sandra, scusa il ritardo..;) Sì, sottoesposizione vuol dire underexposing..riprova allora, per evidenziare maggiormante i colori del cielo! Ciao, Ale
