I love it Dave. Just beautiful and the snow falling to accent the shot is wonderful! I particularly like the various areas of frozen water surrounding the unfrozen bit in the lower right foreground. Uhhhhh . . . looks like it's cold enough to have a shiver / steady shot issue . . . or do you shoot wrapped warmly with gloves on? This is excellent.

Hi Dave,
I like the look of the old mill through the snow storm, even though I'm not ready for the snow myself yet. You can keep the snow up there in Winnipeg for as long as you like :)
It was very considerate of the snow on the half frozen water to pose for you so photogenically :)
I got a few pictures of a replica mill of one of the oldest in North America last September. It doesn't look much different than this one. It's Dexter's Mill in Sandwich, Cape Cod, Mass.
Maybe I'll post an image of it one day.

Oh, how this image makes me long for the winters of home. I sincerely miss the mood and stillness of a quiet, cold, winter's day. When all you can hear is the soft rustle of snow settling on the branches of trees around you.
Instead, I'm here. Where it's 75 degrees on November 13th. **sigh**

An excellent Winter scene Dave and I remember saying to you last Winter I didn't know whether to envy your photographic opportunities in your climate or feel immense amounts of gratefulness at not being subjected to these conditions.
