Thank you Cathy, it's such a beautiful location. Got there quite late in the afternoon, overcast day, peak wet season. Was lucky that the light was low enough that I could do an extended exposure. The water was running hard and fast, there had been substantial rainfall in the region in the previous 2 weeks.
Hello Winston, love this shot! I always marvel at how similar shots turn up on each page of usefilm. I have just returned from Cairns yesterday where I had a go at slow shutter speeds and running water. Unfortunately I was not able to produce the high level of success that you have managed in this image. Was the water running fast? I love the smooth dreamy feel of the water, and the lush green of the vegetation. We are heavily in drought here in the Central West of NSW, we thoroughly enjoyed the damp moistness of FNQ. Great holiday destination, hey! CC
