Very nice composition, and I like the smooth mid-tones too. Maybe a little overexposed though. Foliage is a little washed in places. Probably a matter of getting used to the metering on that newly converted camera, Priscilla. Congrats on becoming a camera technician. It seems to have worked for you. Anson

paul,
yes i have a canon 350 xt. ive had for a year, and didnt use it at all. i use a nikon d200 to shoot everything else. and as you see i shoot mostely ir, so converting my canon was more than a good idea.
i got the mirror online, and changed it myself.
it was a bit challenging. you have to dig thru the camera to get to the sensor,,, yikes!, and take the mirror off. It was only 100 bucks for the ir mirror. it took me all of 3 hours to do it.
the recent posts are the shots i got after the conversion this past weekend.
there is a HUGE difference between this and my sony that i was using. nice to not have any filters. there is less contrast and more mid tones and greys. i like it, however, they seem more soft focus than the sony. hopefull i get used to it.
thanks again
priscilla

When did you start shooting with xt rebel Priscilla? This is a very beautiful image which
you seem to do on a regular basis! I noticed your cameras had changed. Did you have this camera converted......Am I reading that right?
If so I would like to know some more info on this Priscilla if you have the time. As you know I shoot with the rebel XT as well and have not had that much luck with my IR photography. Was thinking maybe of having it converted and getting a bit better camera for my regular photographs......Just would like to get alittle more info. Is it worth having it converted. price and ect. Whatever you can pass along would be wonderful! Again Priscilla, very very lovely work!

Congrats

Paul E Brumit
