I like this very much Rob and prefer it to the other versions. I like the warmth it adds to the skin tones and it also projects a warmth to your personality. Your first choice is right on! Very nice!
Warm regards, Brigitte

I like this portrait and self portraits are hard to do...funny, before reading the comments, I converted it into B&W too as an option. To do this, I used Photoshop channel mixer and was heavy on the blue filter option. I then used a NIK filter (a photoshop add on) to make the tonal ranges just a bit stronger. Great job!

As I already mentioned...this one is very BOND! You rarely give such a confident expression, its suits you. You coulda turned your monitor off for 5 mins while you shot this though - an interesting catchlight I guess, LOL.

I like both versions you have the original post above and the B & W.
I disagree with Paul and feel that the "low-key exposure" is perfect. It creates more of a dramatic feel. However, I do agree with Shirley - you are very handsome, but I already knew that from your previous self portraits you have posted.

This is a clean shot with nice framing, but I'm not fond of the low-key exposure, Rob. I think it'd be stronger if you corrected levels. (like this?)
