Thanks for the compliments and the observations, Manuel. You have a keen eye to spot the subtle differences between the two photos.

In both images I tried to lighten the foreground to show more detail instead of pure silhouette. The result was loss of colour intensity in the sky. The difference in sharpness level was not intentional, and may be the result of using different software to make the adjustments. I also cropped out the compost bin the second time around.

The attachment is the original picture with no changes.

Great composition Jason. I've checked the old version and i think it had warmer colors and smoothness to it. You've added some sharpness here which is a bit obvious in the upper part of the pic. Anyways, great picture. congrats
I must say you have a lovely collection of shots. Very nice, keep up.
