Thanks so much Jan!! She's allowed on the furniture ONLY when someone's with her. She is NOT, however, taking trips to the store with us any longer. Apparently, my prescription sunglasses taste like peanut butter and the case they were in was mangled too. She also ate a couple of CDs, Marlyce's Cigarette pckge (Just mangled them . . . apparently not tasty enough) . . . a packge of dog treats . . . ( * sigh * ) - glad I didn't leave my camera in the car!! LoL! You just GOTTA know she's loveable and brings smiles if we tolerate all that! :)

Haven't seen Kaylee in a while and pleased to see she is still allowed on the furniture (after destroying some as I recall). You faked her out to get the pix but maybe she just wanted you to work harder for it. Love the partial side glance. She sure is a "looker"!

An excellent technique employed to get this desired effect my dear friend. Poor Kaylee, fancy being attacked remotely from the front by black metal box thing and harrassed from the rear by a furless paw thing belonging to he who THINKS he should be obeyed  Great pet portrait Doyle with excellent details and beautiful soft sepia tones from an excellent conversion. Hi AJ!
Nope . . . no mistake. 10.5mm (fisheye) lens. Not the 105mm (though I have purchased that one too . . . and you're right - the cost is quite steep for that baby but the results are predictably . . . demonstrably better than the 70-300mm I was using before that. The 105mm would not have had the distortion you so aptly noted.
Kaylee had been sleeping like a limp rag until she heard the click of the flash unit . . . and growled (half-heartedly) . . . perhaps more annoyance than nervousness!
But the 105mm for Macro . . . that works. The 70-300mm . . . or even a filter (3x converter) for the 18-70mm or 28-80mm lens have all been used and tried by me. My bee shots were 3x filter and the web shots with dew were 70-300 . . . but for the recent detail in the floral macros . . . neither of the other options would suffice.
Well . . . you know how it is. First, invest in the camera . . . then the glass . . . then everything else, then more glass, then a bag to lug it with, then more glass . . . oh! And a remote IR shutter release and some more glass!!! LoL!
Thanks for commenting John! Enjoy your board . . . or whatever you choose . . . enjoying life is the key and macro work can still work with that 70-300mm - or a 3x filter. Look at my bee shots again . . . :)

Was just looking through the recent shots and thinking how few comments were being put up on a Friday evening, when I spotted this one. Well, I guess it's cornered ALL the comments. And oh yes, seems like today is a special day in some parts of the world!
Overall, this conveys the warmth of a relaxed and satisfying day, although there is perhaps just a hint of nervousness in Kaylee's eye. The perspective and sepia help this effect nicely.
Interesting choice of lens (I assume it's 105, not 10.5) that results in a curved hardwood floor. Not a criticism, just an observation. I was looking at these lenses yesterday for macro work but decided to go to the pub instead when I saw the price tag. I understand that this is what I need for close-up stuff, rather than a 70-300 zoom macro, but I could buy a sweet wave board for the same amount. What to do, what to do. (Use the Casio, a voice whispers in my ear!)
