Thanks a lot Miranda!
These were the berries of a small tree. I didn't shoot the flowers before becoming berries because they weren't as interesting to me.
Best wishes,
Nick

Andre, it makes much sense to me! Thank you for the nice detailed comment! So the background, even a blurry one, does often play an important role as a kind of "guide" that takes us to the main subject.
Thanks again and best to you,
Nick

Exactly, Doyle! Really like an octupus' tentacles! But it was really only a harmless small tree.
Thank you very much,
Nick
P.S.: We know that spidey earned for living shooting photos from his fights with the bad guys, so that must have been Doc Oc ;-)

This one works very well Nick. Even though the subject is a bit "busy" in nature, the choice of DOF compensates to the point of making this a pleasing image. We are drawn into the detail of this one without being bombarded by it. I hope this makes sense? Andre

Very interesting Nick . . . the thumbnail reminded me of an octopus' tentacles! Looks like a plant to avoid falling into. :)
Seasons Best Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

How lovely! Perhaps she can give an answer to this question? Just some more info, that could be of help. The tree was only about 3 meters high, and had a rather thin trunk. Its leaves and also blossoms were much like the those of an acacia. And in September/October the blossoms became the berries that we see here. I don't know if this tree grows naturally in Switzerland since it was the only tree of this kind I saw around here. Maybe some "imported" tree?
Thanks a lot again and take care,
Nick

If I only knew, Annemette! If I only knew!
This was a small tree in front of my small home in Zurich, which I had for about two years. (Everything small here, or what? ;-)) It looked like a small kind of acacia but I don't have any idea what it really was.
Anybody out there that knows more about it?
